Peter Thomashow is a psychiatrist, inveterate collector and artist who creates assemblages from his own wonder cabinet of antique wooden toys.
Always intrigued by the unseen; memory, magic, geometry and invisible forces, his first collection was magnets - at age seven.
Over half a century later, these recurring themes join Thomashow's theories on color, thought experiments and what he considers "beyond the visible spectrum". The seemingly simple but complex constructions reflect his personal vision while offering the viewer a rare insight into the overlap of cerebral and playful alongside art and science.
Peter Thomashow's sculptures appeal to collectors in different fields - art, toys and science and have been exhibited at The Outsider Art Fair as well as the METRO show in New York city.
